Billingley Parish Council, late last year, took steps to recover the war memorial plaque from the wall of Billingley Chapel after its sad closure. It has been re-erected in front of the cenotaph and a dedication was made on remembrance Sunday. The plaque reads:

JOHN ASHWOOD, WILLIAM H. MOSS, B. STANLEY CASSON, ROLAND PATTERSON, ISAIAH FISHER, HARRY SIDDALL, RICHARD FISHER, JOHN WARDLE, JOSEPH FORD, NICHOLAS WRIGHT, FRANK MOSS.

WHO DIED IN THE GREAT WAR 1914 – 1918
